Players Of The Month
PLayers of the Month awards for FebThe Central Canada Tier 1 Junior A Hockey League is pleased to announce the Corporate Hype Player of the Month awards for February. The Player of the Month is Stephen Hrehoriak of the Hawkesbury Hawks. Hrehoriak is one of the main reasons for the Hawks turnaround season, Hawkesbury picked up nine wins out of eleven in February. The Hawk forward accumulated 17 points (9G, 8A), and leads his team in scoring with 65 points (36G, 29A). He was also selected a game star in six contests. The Goalie of the Month is Francis Dupuis of the Pembroke Lumber Kings who won the same award last month. Dupuis followed up January with an even better February posting a 6-3-1 record and an impressive 2.0 Goals Against Average and .939 Save Percentage. The Lumber King netminder never allowed more than three goals in any single game and in eight of ten allowed two or less. He was named a star in five of the ten games while playing six of the ten games against teams ranked in the top four of the league. The Rookie of the Month is Mathieu Desautels of the Ottawa Junior Senators. The 16 year old defenseman has been vastly improving over the year and enjoyed his finest offensive month picking up eight points (3G, 5A). Desautels continues to gain confidence and earn valuable minutes on Ottawa’s blue line against any line and in all situations. PLayers of the Month awards for January
The Central Canada Tier 1 Junior A Hockey League is pleased to announce the Corporate Hype Player of the Month awards for January. The Pembroke Lumber Kings feature two of the three award winners. The Goalie of the Month is Francis Dupuis who played every minute for the Lumber Kings in January. The Pembroke netminder posted a 5-3-3-1 record with a solid 2.2 Goals Against Average and .916 Save Percentage. Joining his teammate is Liam Biard who is January’s Rookie of the Month. Biard who was just recently selected CCHL Player of the Week had a great month with 11 points (1 G, 10 A). The Player of the Month honors for January is Matt Robertson of the Smiths Falls Bears who also won it for December. Robertson continues his stellar play accumulating 23 points (9G, 14A) in twelve games and is enjoying an outstanding 18 game point streak. The Bears forward ranks first in the CCHL with goals (37) and third overall in league scoring with 79 points.

The Central Canada Tier 1 Junior A Hockey League is pleased to announce the Corporate Hype Player of the Month awards for December. The Smiths Falls Bears feature two of the three award winners. The Player of the Month is Matt Robertson who had a very productive December accumulating 17 points (9 G, 8 A) in nine games played last month. The Bears forward has been one of the most consistent players for Smiths Falls and helped them to a 6-2-1 record for the month. Joining him is teammate and Bears netminder MacKenzie Sawyer voted Goalie of the Month. His outstanding play as of late has been a key for the Bears staying in the play-off hunt. Sawyer, who was recently the Player of the Week (Week 13) went 5-1-1, posting an impressive 3.14 Goals Against Average and a .904 Save Percentage. The Rookie of the Month honours for December is Blaine Byron of the Kemptville 73’s. Byron who was the top scoring rookie collected 11 points (2 G, 9 A) in eight games the 73’s played.

Players of the Month awards for September
The Central Canada Tier 1 Junior A Hockey League is pleased to announce the Corporate Hype Player of the Month awards for September. The Nepean Raiders feature two of the three award winners. The Player of the Month is Craig Cowie who’s been one of the most consistent players for the month of September. The Raider’s captain helped lead Nepean to a 6-3 record which puts them first in the Yzerman Division. Cowie is off to a blistering start and leads the league in scoring with 20 points (5G, 15A) in nine games. Joining him is teammate Mac Weegar who earns Rookie of the Month honours. Weegar has played outstanding on the Raider blue-line, while also contributing offensively picking up 8 points (4G, 4A) in 9 games. Cornwall Colts netminder Lukas Hafner has been selected Goalie of the Month. Hafner was perfect in his 8 starts in September while posting an impressive league leading 1.84 Goals Against Average and second with a .934 Save Percentage. |
